Leaving Snappy

Delete your account

You can delete your Snappy account and everything in it from here, without the app. We'll email you a link to confirm it's really you — nothing is deleted until you press it.

What deleting removes

  • Your parent account and the way you sign in.
  • Every child profile on the account.
  • All practice history — progress, streaks and magnets.
  • Any saved voice recordings of your child. These are removed from storage within 7 days.

This cannot be undone, and we cannot bring an account back afterwards. If you only want to stop the voice recording, you don't need to delete anything — a parent can switch recording off under Settings in the app at any time.

Start here

Enter the email address on your Snappy account. We'll send it a link that confirms the deletion.

Nothing is deleted when you press this. The link expires after 24 hours and works once.

Check your email

If that address has a Snappy account, we've sent it a link. Open the email and press the button in it to finish deleting your account.

Nothing has been deleted yet. If you didn't ask for this, you can safely ignore the email.

Confirm the deletion

Type the email address on the account to confirm. This is the last step — pressing the button below deletes the account and everything listed above.

If your subscription is billed by Apple, deleting your Snappy account does not cancel it — only you can, in the App Store. Cancel it there so you are not charged again. Any other subscription is stopped for you.

Your Snappy account is deleted.

Every child profile, all their progress and your account details are gone. Saved voice recordings are removed from storage within 7 days.

Thank you for giving Snappy a try.

Deletion links work once and expire after 24 hours. You can start again below.

Other ways to do this

  • In the app: open Settings and use Delete account at the bottom of the page.
  • By email: write to hello@snappyreading.com and we'll delete the account for you. We may check that you are the account holder first.

What we keep, and why

After an account is deleted we keep one stripped billing record for any subscription it had — the payment provider, the transaction identifier, which plan it was, and roughly how long the subscription ran. It holds no name, no email address and no account identifier, and it exists for one reason: so we can answer your bank or an app store if a past payment is ever queried after the account is gone. Full detail is in section 11 of our Privacy Policy.
